Every Thursday, I’ll be taking a deeper dive into the happenings of Penn State football. Sometimes they’ll be positive trends. Other times they’ll be negative trends. And every once in a while, they’ll be somewhere in the middle — which is where this one lies.
Being that Penn State has been deemed as the program with the most to gain from the College Football Playoff being expanded, it should be no surprise that this season’s success will largely come down to whether the Nittany Lions make the CFP or not. After a win against West Virginia where Penn State looked fantastic, vibes are high for the Nittany Lions right now, with just about every media pundit having Penn State in the expanded field of 12.
