Headed into last weekend, this dual looked to be the most competitive (on paper) in at least six years. But the Minnesota Golden Gophers had another story, and the Buckeyes fell out of the top five with their second loss of the season.
Ohio State is still a talented and veteran team, and deservedly ranked in the top ten, who capped off the weekend with a win against Indiana. But this isn’t the Buckeye team of a decade ago, and this sure as heck isn’t the Penn State team that had the team’s only year out of the top three since Cael Sanderson’s first year.
