UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — At a position where players are notorious for demanding the ball and having big personalities, sophomore wide receiver Chris Godwin breaks the mold.
A quiet player who is praised time and time again by teammates and coaches for his maturity, the flashiest thing about Penn State’s leading receiver is the red handleless scooter he balances on, riding around campus and throughout the Lasch Football Building.
“He came into my office riding it the other day, and I don’t think he realized how close my desk was to the door,” receivers coach Josh Gattis said.
