KJ Hamler — Penn State’s electric redshirt freshman wideout — is set to play Saturday.
On Tuesday afternoon, head coach James Franklin simply said, “Yeah,” when asked if he expected Hamler to be available against Michigan State. The redshirt freshman left Penn State’s 27-26 loss to Ohio State in the second half and did not return after a sustaining a hit around his head.
Hamler is Penn State’s leading receiver through five games with 308 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 13 catches. The speedster nicknamed “The Human Joystick” caught the game-tying touchdown against Appalachian State and had a 93-yard catch-and-run score in the loss to Ohio State.
