What happened to Jerry Sandusky's name in Penn State's yearbook?

Between John Rosenberg and Joe Sarra on page 241 of Penn State’s 2016 football yearbook, a name is missing.

At least in one way, Penn State has erased Jerry Sandusky from its history.

The school removed the former longtime assistant coach’s name from the “All-Time Nittany Lion Assistant Coaches” list in its yearbooks, also known as media guides, from the past few seasons in the wake of his child sex abuse scandal that came to light in fall 2011.

“The administration made the decision in June 2012 to remove him from parts of the media guide, effective with the media guide for the 2012 season,” read a statement per an athletics department spokesman.
