College lacrosse season is almost here.
Preseason games will start in a little over a month with the regular season starting in just under two. The college game has been played without a formal shot clock rule for years. Most coaches wanted one instituted, but each had their own opinion on how to go about doing so.
There was never going to be a solution that made everyone happy. Penn State coach Jeff Tambroni didn’t get exactly what he wanted with the new rule, but he feels like it is a step forward nonetheless.
“I think it’s going to be a positive contribution to our game,” Tambroni said.
