For the first time in nearly four years, No. 20 Penn State suffered a conference loss.
The Nittany Lions’ 38-match EIVA regular-season winning streak — the longest in conference history — came to an end Friday night when they were swept by Harvard (25-21, 25-22, 25-19). It was Penn State’s first EIVA loss since April 3, 2021 — a span of 1,406 days.
Harvard didn’t light up the stat sheet, hitting just .190, but it was enough to secure the upset. The Crimson also found success from the service line, racking up seven aces, including three from Zach Berty.
