Penn State had itself a weekend, picking up an essential sweep against George Mason with regular season EIVA play coming to a close.
The Nittany Lions fought with grit against the Patriots in a total of 10 sets, winning both matches, 3-2. In Saturday’s thrilling match, each set was separated by no more than three points.
Since their loss to Charleston at the end of March, the Nittany Lions have been on a hot streak. They defeated Sacred Heart 3-0 and 3-1 in their two matchups in early April and added two more wins to their record after last weekend’s sweep of George Mason.
