The Nittany Lions dropped their eighth consecutive Big Ten matchup and fell to a season-worst three games below .500. In a season filled with promise, Penn State’s midseason loss to the Buckeyes felt like rock bottom.
Coach Guy Gadowsky mentioned it was analytically the Nittany Lions’ worst series of the season, and senior Dylan Lugris said the two-game set was an “eye-opener.”
“We really got down on ourselves,” Lugris said. “The first half (of the season) was not what we wanted.
