CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Texas A&M senior safety Armani Watts suffered an upper rib injury earlier in the season, leaving him questionable for the Aggies’ Belk Bowl appearance Friday, interim head coach Jeff Banks said.
Banks said the decision of whether Watts will play has been left in his hands, as well as the A&M training staff. That being said, Banks said he believes Watts will play.
“He’s healthy, it’s just a matter of how he feels,” Banks said Thursday at the Belk Bowl media day. “He’s a veteran player. Started almost every game here in the history of his career here.
