BRONX, N.Y. — Akrum Wadley held onto his most valuable player trophy from Wednesday’s Pinstripe Bowl as tightly as he did the football in the final game of his Iowa career.

The senior running back contributed in every way imaginable in the Hawkeyes’ 27-20 win over Boston College, leading the team in rushing and receiving in addition to setting an Iowa bowl record with 171 kickoff return yards in a role he hadn’t filled in the last 10 games.

"Whatever it took," Wadley said. "Whatever the team needed, I was willing to do."

With nearly four dozen family members looking on as Wadley completed his college career near his hometown of Newark, New Jersey, Wadley totaled 283 all-purpose yards in the win.
