UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - After a thrilling overtime victory at No. 2-seeded Florida on Sunday, the Nittany Lion women's lacrosse team (13-6) will host an NCAA quarterfinal game for the first time since 1995 when they meet seventh-seeded Penn (15-4) on Saturday at noon.
Playing in the quarterfinals for the fourth time in five seasons, the Lions are seeking their first trip to the NCAA Semifinals since 1999. Junior All-American Steph Lazo netted the game-winner on Sunday to help lift the Lions into the round of eight.
Now, the Lions are thrilled to play on their home field in the quarterfinals.
