VIDEO: Frank Molinaro Headed to Rio 2016 Olympics

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State national champion and current assistant coach Frank Molinaro is set to represent the United States at the Rio 2016 Olympics in August.

Molinaro qualified for the Olympics in dramatic fashion after the United States solidified a berth at the 65 kg weight class following a doping violation involving participants in a qualifying tournament. Molinaro learned of the news while on the golf course in Happy Valley.

The 2012 NCAA champ at 149 pounds will spend the summer training and competing before traveling to Rio in early August. Molinaro and Penn State head coach Cael Sanderson talked with the media on Monday about Molinaro's spot in the Olympics.
