It was apparent it would be Tyler Warren’s day from the get-go when the Penn State offense took the field against USC. On the very first drive alone, Warren had five catches — four of which resulted in a first down — as well as a four-yard run to convert a third-and-short. If not for an offensive pass interference away from the ball, Warren would have had an additional catch that resulted in a touchdown to complete the opening drive.
Surely, USC defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn, one of the biggest rising stars in the profession, would make adjustments to slow down Penn State’s standout tight end.
