For many it’s a dream come true just to represent the blue and white on Jeffrey Field. For two Penn State women’s soccer players, their dreams were further realized Thursday afternoon as a duo of Nittany Lions were selected in the National Women’s Soccer League College Draft.
Forward Frannie Crouse and defender Brittany Basinger were both chosen in the 10-team, four-round draft with Crouse leading the way as the 10th overall pick by the North Carolina Courage.
Crouse capped off her senior season with four goals and five assists to move her to 12th all-time in program history with 91 points.
