For the second straight day, Penn State needed a late game rally to win.
One day after the Nittany Lions fell one run short in their home opener, Toni Polk’s three run home run in the seventh inning propelled Nittany Lions to a 11-10 victory in nine innings to give Penn State its second straight victory.
Kent State’s offense steadily scored to open the game. The Golden Flashes scored a least one run in the second through the sixth inning.
Holly Spears hit her second home run of game in the top of the sixth to give Kent State an 8-4 lead.
