Heading into spring practice this year, Tommy Stevens was expected to be Penn State’s starter for the 2019 season. However, a lingering injury and the emergence of Sean Clifford in spring practice cast some doubt on the assumption that Stevens would be the starter. Shortly after the end of spring practice, the dual-threat quarterback entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
After spending about a month looking for a new home, Stevens is headed down south to reunite at Mississippi State with former offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead.
Since Stevens has already graduated from Penn State, he is eligible to play right away for the Bulldogs.
