Penn State redshirt senior Tori Gerlach made her first-ever NCAA steeplechase final after posting a personal-best time of 9 minutes, 50.54 seconds during the NCAA Track & Field Championships on Thursday.
Gerlach had previously qualified for NCAAs in the event in 2014 and 2015 but was out last outdoor season with an injury. Gerlach will look to earn her first first-team All-America honor — meaning a top-8 finish — in the last race of her career Saturday.
