Everything you missed in Penn State sports — and isn’t listed elsewhere in the CDT — from Saturday:
CLEMSON, S.C. Penn State sophomore Danae Rivers broke her own school record in the 800 meters Saturday, clocking a time of 2 minutes, 3.13 seconds — 0.91 seconds faster than her previous best.
Against nine other competitors, however, she still finished second in the race — beating out everyone but Adidas’ Natoya Goule, who had a time of 1:59.86. Rivers beat the third-place finisher by more than eight seconds.
Other highlights included Isaiah Harris breaking the facility record in the 600 meters with a time of 1:16.
