Since 1951, The National Football Foundation has been selecting players and coaches in college football who excel on the field. Today, the NFF announced the names on the ballot for the 2017 College Football Hall of Fame. Among the 75 FBS players included in the ballot are Penn State standouts Kerry Collins, D.J. Dozier, and Steve Wisniewski.
Including coaches, 22 former Penn Staters have been inducted into the hall of fame. If selected, the aforementioned Collins, Wisniewski, and Dozier would join the likes of Shane Conlan, Jack Ham, John Cappelletti, and Curt Warner, as well as Rip Engle and Joe Paterno.
