In case you weren’t aware: 700 Penn State students, along with tens of thousands more cheering them on from the stands at the Bryce Jordan Center, spent the last 46 hours on their feet as part of THON weekend, raising awareness and money for the Four Diamonds Fund, which benefits pediatric cancer research. As a result of their efforts, THON ended up raising a total of $10,151,663.93. This tops last year’s total by $106,000, which is highly impressive considering the fact that canning weekends have been entirely phased out.
While we are first and foremost, a Penn State sports blog, we also realize that there are things in life that are far more important than what happens on the field/court of play.
