No. 17 Penn State unexpectedly received some time off last week due to the cancellations of its matches against No. 13 Ohio State.
While the Nittany Lions looked forward to competing, coach Mark Pavlik used that break as an opportunity for a practice period.
“They look forward to competing, don’t get me wrong,” Pavlik said. “But I also think that when they get a chance to just kind of say, ‘All right, we only have one practice this weekend, where we don’t have to get on a bus, we don’t have to travel to a hotel on Thursday night.
