Missouri football fans expected to have a coaching search on their hands two months ago after the Tigers opened the season 1-5.
Well, expectations have turned to reality, only the Tigers will be seeking out an offensive coordinator instead of a head coach. Josh Heupel announced Tuesday that he'll be leaving Columbia to become the head coach at UCF after orchestrating an offense that sparked a six-game winning streak and got Missouri into a bowl game for the first time since 2014. It's highly unlikely Missouri's coordinator-to-be will not be coaching in the Texas Bowl, but the Tigers will want to hire a new coach quickly to settle fans' and recruits' nerves.
