Penn State was revealed to be the top seed in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night’s selection show, but the Nittany Lions had to wait until Marist and UMBC competed in a play-in game to know their opponent.
The Retrievers snuck into the American East Tournament with a win over Hartford in the final week of the regular season and went on to beat Stony Brook and Vermont to earn the conference title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
