Tight end Caleb Roddy and defensive back Xavier Lewis will not return to the LSU football team, a source told The Advocate.
Roddy, a Denham Spring native, did not play in 2017 and missed most of practice throughout the year for unknown reasons. The 6-5, 276-pounder signed with the Tigers as a defensive end before a move to tight end. He served as LSU’s No. 3 tight end as a true freshman in 2016.
Roddy removed all mention of LSU in his Twitter bio and posted a cryptic message Wednesday, the start of the spring semester: “Next chapter,” his message said.
