The difference between national seeds TCU and Louisville in Thursday’s elimination game at TD Ameritrade Park was minuscule. Three close tag plays went the Horned Frogs’ way in a 4-3 victory that advanced the preseason No. 1 team to a rematch with Florida in the Bracket 2 final Friday.
TCU improved to 49-17 with the win while ending star-studded Louisville’s season at 53-12.
“It’s never about the best team. It’s only about the team that plays the best,” Horned Frogs coach Jim Schlossnagle said. “And I think the major league draft will show that Louisville has a much more physically skilled team than our team.
