Penn State received the opening kickoff and marched right down the field, aided by two big receptions from Tyler Warren to move the ball into the red zone. Drew Allar finished off the drive with an easy 2-yard touchdown pass to Kaytron Allen to give the Lions an early 7-0 lead.
After a Purdue punt, the Lions drove the length of the field with zero resistance from the Boilermakers’ defense. Mixing the run and the pass brilliantly, Penn State capped the drive with an Allar 15-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Warren near the back corner of the end zone for a 14-0 lead.
