Statistical improvement shows evidence of growth for Penn State women's hockey

It was with determination that Penn State made its resolution to perform better after the new year.

The statistics have proven that, in some areas, the Nittany Lions have kept that promise.

Compared to the first half of the season, the Lions (9-14-5, 5-4-5 College Hockey America) have grown considerably on the ice as a team. Because the team is only eight games into its second half of the season, it’s only fair that the stats should be compared to the first eight games of the season.

In the first official game of the season, the Lions struggled against the Minnesota Golden Gophers and were shut out both days at 5-0 and 3-0 at Pegula Ice Arena.
