Men’s Lacrosse
The men’s lacrosse team exacted revenge on Maryland in last night’s Big Ten semifinal with a commanding 19-9 victory. Much like the teams’ regular season meeting, Penn State jumped out to an early advantage, taking a 7-1 lead midway through the second quarter. But this time, the Lions continued to pressure the Terrapins’ defense in the second half, adding eight goals after the intermission. Matt Traynor scored five goals, including four unanswered goals in the second half. TJ Malone and Mac Costin chipped in with a hat trick each, giving the Lions a terrifying offensive trio entering the NCAA tournament.
