After winning 2 of the 3 weekend games against Purdue, the baseball team delivered its biggest win of the season, defeating No. 17 West Virginia 3-2 in front of a program-record 6,106 fans at Medlar Field.
The Nittany Lions never trailed in the game. Jack Porter hit a solo home run in the first inning and scored a run in the fifth. The pitching, led by Mason Butash’s 4 strikeouts, held the Mountaineers to just 7 hits and 2 runs.
Fans in attendance ate over 12,000 hot dogs, a season record.
