Kobe King is an experienced, prototypical middle linebacker who has played a large role for the Penn State defense during the past three seasons. After taking a redshirt year in 2021, King emerged as a regular at middle linebacker in 2022. While he seemed to find himself out of place at times early in the season, King improved from week to week. By the end of the season, he transformed into a much more reliable presence in the middle with playmaking capabilities.
King took on a larger role in 2023, and finished second on the team with 59 tackles, just two shy of team-leader and fellow projected draft pick K.
