Penn State will send six athletes to the NCAA Championships.
On the first day of the NCAA East First-Rounds in Lexington, Kentucky, six Penn State athletes qualified for the NCAA Championships at the University of Oregon.
Pole vaulter Hannah Mulhern set a new school record mark of 13-5.25 (4.10 meters) on her way to qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Mulhern broke the record of 13-4.50 (4.08 meters) set by Lexi Masterson earlier this season.
Jillian Hunsberger set the third-best time in program history in the women's 10,000-meter run — the final event of the day — with her NCAA-qualifying time of 33:52.
