Shooting from beyond the arc to be key in Penn State men's basketball trip to Northwestern

Big Ten play has not fared well for Penn State men’s basketball so far this season.

The Nittany Lions (10-8, 1-4 Big Ten) have lost four out of their first five conference games, three of which were decided by more than 15 points.

As the Lions travel to Evanston to visit Northwestern (15-3, 3-2 Big Ten) Saturday at 8:30 p.m., coach Patrick Chambers’ squad will need to limit the Wildcats’ 3-point shooting.

In the Lions’ five conference games, their opponents have made nearly 45 percent of their 3-point attempts, while averaging over 21 shots from behind the arc per game.
