Some Huskers on Monday hedged when asked their feelings about Iowa. Not De’Mornay Pierson-El. Appropriately, he let it fly.
“C’mon now, who really likes Iowa?” Pierson-El said. “C’mon now. Of course it’s a rivalry.”
How very appropriate.
You can debate whether or not Huskers vs. Hawks is a true rivalry. There’s no debating that Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz does not like Nebraska or that Hawk fans are extremely annoyed with Husker fans’ reluctance to respect Iowa football. Or that, even at 6-5, Iowa would love to come to Lincoln on Friday and stomp on Big Red.
