COLLEGE PARK, Md. — In the second session of Saturday’s Big Ten Championships, Penn State highlighted the semifinals with nine wrestlers reaching the semifinals in their respective weight classes.
Of the nine Nittany Lion wrestlers with a finals appearance on the line, seven walked away victorious, while Penn State finished with 136 total team points on the day.
After a pair of early-round wins to begin the day, No. 6 Braeden Davis took the mats against Michigan’s No. 7-seeded Michael DeAugustino to begin the semifinals.
Davis’ matchup versus DeAugustino marked the second time the wrestlers have faced off this season.
