Sean Clifford lit it up through the air and on the ground Friday night against Maryland and has been justly rewarded.
The Nittany Lions signal caller has been named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the week after passing for 398 yards and three touchdowns in just 2.5 quarters of action. He also carried the ball 7 times for 54 yards. He shares the honor with Minnesota’s Tanner Morgan who similarly put in a sterling performance in a win over Purdue.
Clifford’s 287 passing yards in the first half to broke the previous Penn State record of 258 yards by Trace McSorley against Georgia State in 2017.
