The trio of Penn State players receive major accolades heading into the 2016 season.
Three Penn State players received excellent news earlier today by being recognized as preseason candidates for major individual awards.
Sophomore running back Saquon Barkley and junior wide receiver Chris Godwin were placed on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, given annually to the best player in college football, while junior linebacker Jason Cabinda was placed on the Bednarik Award watch list, which is awarded to the nation's most outstanding defensive player.
All three players had breakout seasons in 2015 and have high expectations heading into the fall.
