Running Back Andre Robinson Transferring from Penn State

Penn State’s backfield has suddenly become less crowded following the departure of running back Andre Robinson. The redshirt sophomore has decided to move on from the program and play elsewhere for his final two years of eligibility.

Robinson was a four-star prospect who saw playing time right away as a redshirt freshman, getting carries in 12 of 14 games. His most memorable performance came against Michigan State, where he accounted for 72 total yards and two touchdowns to help Penn State claim the East Division crown in relief of a dinged up Saquon Barkley. In all, Robinson contributed 141 yards on 29 carries with five rushing touchdowns during the 2016 season.
