University of Richmond junior defensive lineman Andrew Clyde shared the CAA's defensive player-of-the-week honor with New Hampshire junior defensive end Jae’Wuan Horton, who's from Stafford.
Clyde had a career-high 10 tackles and two pass break-ups in Richmond’s 20-17 win at Colgate. One of Clyde's deflections resulted in an interception. Horton had six tackles, a sack and two quarterback hurries as New Hampshire beat FBS member Georgia Southern 22-12.
The Spiders (1-1) open their home schedule Saturday at 2 p.m. against Howard (1-1). That's UR's final game outside of CAA competition.
