Report: Penn State WR coach Josh Gattis heading to Alabama

Penn State football is set to lose yet another assistant coach.

Josh Gattis, Penn State's former offensive recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach, is leaving to become Alabama's co-offensive coordinator, per a report from FootballScoop.com.

Gattis had been with the Nittany Lions since 2014 and was named the 2015 Scout.com Big Ten Recruiter of the Year after helping the program land a top-15 recruiting class. Several wide receivers blossomed under his tutelage, including eventual second-round NFL Draft pick Chris Godwin, and DaeSean Hamilton.

He is the third Penn State assistant to leave this offseason following the departures of Joe Moorhead and Charles Huff to Mississippi State.
