After just one season in Happy Valley, Tom Allen is packing his bags and is headed to Clemson to be Dabo Swinney’s defensive coordinator. Which as someone who didn’t love the Allen hire at the onset, I’m not all that upset about him leaving. Not to say he did a bad job this season, but I don’t think he necessarily elevated the group either. It would have been nice to have him back from a continuity perspective, but anyone who knows me knows I will take a COORDINATOR HOT BOARD over silly, old “continuity” any day of the week.
