Penn State football released an updated roster earlier today, and redshirt senior tight end Jonathan Holland was not listed on the new roster.
Holland opened up the 2018 season as the starting tight end, but was eventually replaced by freshman Pat Freiermuth. During his career as a Nittany Lion, Holland totaled 10 receptions for 130 yards, while also being a contributor on special teams over the last three seasons. Holland leaves the team having already graduated from Penn State with a degree in labor and employment relations.
With Holland off the roster, Penn State is down to four scholarship tight ends — sophomore Pat Freiermuth, redshirt senior Nick Bowers, redshirt freshman Zack Kuntz, and true freshman Brenton Strange.
