Matter's view: No SEC quarterback has started more games at his current school than Lock’s 20, but the junior has only six wins to show for all that experience. Now entrenched in coordinator Josh Heupel’s system, Lock will have more autonomy at the line of scrimmage and more full-field reads on passing plays. Lock set a goal to increase his completion percentage to 65 — he completed just 54 percent last year — but he especially needs to improve his efficiency on third downs. Lock wants to be measured by victories, but there’s no reason a strong season can’t raise his stock for the 2018 NFL draft.
