This was a tricky one to grade: One the one hand, Drew Allar threw for 171 yards and a hat trick of touchdowns. On the other hand, he was only 13-of-25 passing the ball, threw some high and inaccurate balls, was sacked four times, and made some poor decision-making on read options, one of which led to a lost fumble that killed Penn State’s chances to blow open an early 14-0 lead into something virtually insurmountable for Boise State before the first quarter was even over.
