Penn State running back Saquon Barkley went into great detail with BTN's Mike Hall today about the history of his name, his "Say Say" nickname and the name that was nearly given to him by his father, Alibay. Barkley said he was almost named Tupac Shakur after the hip-hop artist of the same name.
"To be completely honest, my father wanted to name me Tupac Shakur because he was in love with Tupac Shakur at that time, and my mom was not having that at all," Barkley said.
Barkley also got into the Say-Say nickname he said he picked up as a "little kid.
