Penn State will continue its long running connection and potential pipeline to World Championship and Olympic caliber wrestling in June as Rec Hall hosts USA Wrestling's new Final X Series.
The storied, roughly 6,500-seat venue has housed some of college wrestling's greatest competitors over the years and is maintaining that level of competition. It's now one of three hosts to the Final X Series, a freestyle tournament that determines the 10 men and women wrestlers that will make up the 2018 U.S. Senior World team and compete at the 2018 World Championships in Budapest.
The other two events in the series will take place in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 9 and Allentown, Pennsylvania on June 23.
