Penn State’s new coordinator ready to revamp the offense

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Earlier this month James Franklin spent four hours in New York meeting with Joe Moorhead for an interview and by the end of the evening, around 3 a.m., Franklin said he knew that the former Fordham head coach was the right man to become Penn State’s new offensive coordinator.

“We went through everything,” Franklin said Wednesday afternoon in the Beaver Stadium media room where his new coordinator sat by his side. “We kind of went through run game and then the problem was we still had all the pass game to get through and it was already two o’clock in the morning.
