UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — In a game Michigan State never trailed, Tom Izzo’s No. 5 Spartans had little trouble putting away the Nittany Lions Sunday afternoon in the Bryce Jordan Center.
Penn State (10-7, 1-3 Big Ten) had few answers for one of the top teams in the country as the Lions were out manned as the Spartans rolled through their bench and eventually out scored, too, falling to Michigan State, 92-65. It’s the third consecutive victory for Izzo’s team after the Spartans lost at Iowa on Dec. 29.
Michigan State’s (16-1, 3-1) top scorer, senior Denzel Valentine, came off the bench to play 13 minutes in the first half but failed to score.
