The father of prized Penn State verbal commitment and four-star defensive end Dorian Hardy told PennLive sister site NJ.com that an assistant coach at Paramus Catholic punched his son in the face last week.
Charles Hardy said that Dorian is no longer at the New Jersey school, but a police report obtained by NJ.com does not say that the coach, named as Michael Mitchell NJ.com report, threw any punches.
It also seems to dispute the elder Hardy's claims and those of at least one other parent.
Hardy's father, Charles Hardy, said his son "came to the aid" of a teammate who was hit with a helmet and dazed during the fight.
