Penn State coach James Franklin is a finalist for another coach of the year award.
The leader of the Lions has already been tabbed the Big Ten coach of the year by conference media voters as well as the Associated Press, and now he's up for a national award; Franklin was listed as one of five finalists for the Eddie Robinson coach of the year honor.
He's joined by Western Michigan's P.J. Fleck, Colorado's Mike MacIntyre, Washington's Chris Petersen, and Alabama's Nick Saban.
"This is an especially strong field of candidates," FWAA President Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal said in a release.
